“Kroese-Duijsters” symposium on water splitting, oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution by heterogeneous, inorganic and biological electro(photo)catalysis
Water splitting, oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution by heterogeneous, inorganic and biological electro(photo)catalysis Reaction mechanisms, rate limiting steps and selectivity A transition to a sustainable and renewable energy economy is urgently required and electro(photo)catalysis will provide a key role. Heterogeneous, inorganic and biological catalysts each display important advantages, but also come with challenges. In spite of the complexity of these vastly different electrocatalytic systems, there is a tantalising prospect that these disciplines can complement each other. In this one-day symposium, …

6th Quantum Bio-Inorganic Chemistry Conference
The conference is organized jointly by the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (IChF) in Warsaw, and the Laboratory of Chemistry and Biology of Metals (LCBM), French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The 2023 conference follows the previous QBIC meetings in Warwick (1999), Lund (2003), Český Krumlov (2011), Bath (2018), and Marseille (2019). QBIC-VI is the third meeting organized since the founding of the Quantum Bioinorganic Chemistry Society. The scientific focus of the conference is on computational inorganic and bioinorganic …
