[Expired] PhD Position : Design of bio-inspired lanthano-peptide catalysts
The objectives of the project are to develop new lanthano-peptides catalysts with a well-folded peptide scaffold, high affinity for Ln(III) and positive interactions for substrate binding. The project will include peptide design and synthesis, characterisations using advanved analytical techniques (paramagnetic NMR, time-resolved luminescence) and molecular modelling, as well as evaluation of Ln-peptide catalysts on model reactions. L’équipe “Ligands, Architectures Complexes et Catalyse” (LAC2) du LCC (Toulouse) rejoint le GIS
L’équipe s’intéresse à la catalyse d’oxydation au fer et au manganèse en s’inspirant des systèmes biologiques pour l’ingénierie de la seconde sphère de coordination. L’équipe est aussi engagée dans des sujets non liés à la chimie bioinorganique, tels la catalyse organométallique avec éventuel contrôle de l’énantiosélectivité, la polymérisation radicalaire contrôlée et la construction de nanoréacteurs polymères pour application en catalyse biphasique aqueuse. Les chercheurs particulièrement impliqués dans le GIS seront Rinaldo Poli et Pascal Guillo.

[Journal Club] Quand l’oxygène empêche de produire de l’énergie
La dégradation par l’oxygène des hydrogénases, enzymes qui produisent du dihydrogène, prive les biotechnologies de catalyseurs performants. Comprendre les mécanismes qui conduisent à cette dégradation, c’est l’objectif des chercheurs du Laboratoire de bioénergétique et ingénierie des protéines (CNRS/AMU), de biochimistes toulousains (INSA), parisiens (CEA), et de chimistes théoriciens européens et américains. Ils sont parvenus à caractériser chacune des étapes de la réaction complexe qui mène à destruction de l’enzyme par l’oxygène. Les résultats de cette étude ont été publiés dans la revue Nature Chemistry.
